[ too bad he can't see her grin. not yet anyway, she's getting off the train now... soon. not too far at all. ]
Thanks. [ she knows... it's nice to hear anyway. ] And you could say they were a real cast of characters. The wider populace are business-orientated, and my more immediate coworkers are...

One's pretty blunt, if well-meaning -- he and I have a similar work mindset, but he has a pretty logical process where mine's not as. There's no one I'd trust more to give it to me straight even if I didn't as for his opinion though, and as harsh as his words might come across there's never any ill-will behind them. He's a kind person, just a little awkward.
Another is someone I'd call compassionate to a fault. She'd run herself ragged just to make sure others were doing well, all while neglecting herself... but she's a pretty strong person because she keeps standing up despite it all, and we get along really well. I think of us four, she's the one who'd work best with mediating a group -- she's really, really good at it, and her calm demeanor really eases tensions in a room.
Lastly... [ click click... elevator call button. ] Is a guy I could complain all day about, but there's someone else who'd happily do that for me. He's untidy and really relaxed, does things at his own pace and tries to skip out on work he doesn't want to do. But at the same time, there's few people you could depend on more showing up when you need someone around -- even if he might complain, he'll be there. That's a guarantee.
Everyone else is sort of a mix of strict, overly casual, and intellectuals, but no one who's as forward as those two. But I guess that's why I am!
[ s. sorry for all the talking. but at least she has a sweet and warm voice when talking about them. ]
[ at the "thanks," he has to pause. momentarily considering if that was interpreted as a compliment in her eyes. he supposed it could appear a positive enough trait to some. for yuwon it was merely fact. but, if that's how she perceived it, then wasn't that fine?
in the same breath, everything about her was a fairly... unique experience. while others may have practiced a bit of caution in revealing too much of themselves, their world, or their experiences, she clearly held no reservation. it was so opposite to himself that he almost found humor in the irony of it.
her vivid descriptions of each of her colleagues gives him that much more time to continue on his path to their meeting point. hence, he actually arrives there before her. settling himself on the nearest bench as he leans against the wall. it's clear there's an implicit sense of something she had for each of them (was it affection? respect? just the fact that she dealt with some of them despite all odds?), her positive sentiments coming out clear in her tone.
though, it does make him wonder if there was anyone she genuinely hated. while he tried not to delve too deeply into people's personal affairs (if because it simply wasn't his business), she made it pretty hard not to think about these things, if just because of how open she is. ]
It's not always bad to have a variety of personalities. [ is all he adds to the conversation, before: ] It's rare to hear you speak bad about someone. I might be interested in them. [ he's not actually serious.
also, she might speak a lot, but i guess he thinks a lot... λ―Έμ ]
[ right off the bat, she's deciding this. a hunch. a feeling. a knowledge of what netzach is like, both now and there. ]
But... Oh, there you are.
[ here she is!!! as well!!! she's waving at him before turning to go down everlight's hall to put her things up for free arms. ]
I could be wrong and you two get along just fine! It sort of depends on how you respond to him, really. I might fuss at him every now and then... but I don't really mind if he lazes as long as he does his share of the work. Just watching him reminds me of a cat in sunlight-- or, well, the other way around now.
[ relaxing. malkuth will be back around in a minute, she's. fifteen in everlight. she has a Hallway to walk back and forth down. ]
[ the conviction in which she says those words... has to make him wonder what impression he gave her for her to come to such a firm conclusion. that said, he also doesn't take offense to it either. especially, since it all was just a hypothetical that never existed as far as he was concerned.
it's not like yuwon actively sought anyone out unless they served a purpose, after all. this isn't as bad as it sounds on paper, maybe. ] Does that come from knowing me or knowing them? [ when he sees her, he's about to cut the line, except then she turns down the hall? he has to wonder: ]
Knowing them. And because I take extra materials to class for notetaking! I have a hard time following along with just the... implant stuff, and it's been a long time since I was in school anyway, so I'm struggling a bit.
[ a bit. she had a good number of notebooks and a tape recorder on top of it all. ]
I think I'll get used to it in time, this is mostly for my own reference.
[ he comprehends the implants are difficult to get accustomed to, but ... did someone really need such detailed notes? then again, she did have the habit of acting as a walking encyclopedia... (says yuwon after one such incident).
he does naturally wonder what she planned to do with all these "notes." that said, it does bring up the point of: ] Your own reference? [ what does that mean exactly? ]
like it's obvious! she's proud of it! and appearing back around the corner with a wave, arms free and in a comfier set of clothes for their lesson. off the implant goes. ]
I'd like to design buildings, even if this isn't where I'd wanted to place them in the first place. It's a lot of fun! And a lot of math!
You did mention that. [ it's not that he thinks the goal in intangible. but, he does think its fairly telling about what kind of person she is to already taking the appropriate measures to make it happen.
hence, he seems to fall into thought, and by the time she arrives to continue her words, he also responds in tune. he stretches a bit idly, his arms moving up in the air as if he was already exhausted somehow. (it's been one conversation...) ] So you're still set on making that building with the colors? You're pretty impressive. [ it's words he doesn't say easily, but there's something about her resilience and desire to put her words to action.... that just wasn't exactly standard? normal?
why does he keep unintentionally complimenting her... ]
[ wow... she's gonna know so many sweet guys by the end of her first month, ]
I don't like to give up. When I decide on something, I put everything I've got into it -- even if it's a longer term project. That's why I'm really happy you agreed to give me a couple lessons!
[ because she's gonna put every bit of energy into it and maybe he'll be impressed enough to let her practice weekly with him ]
it's an odd sensation to be on the receiving end of gratitude. no matter what he did, he considered it an act for himself, or a means to an end, even if it did result as a merit for another party. so he doesn't exactly expect this. especially with how straightforward it is. it's why, he doesn't pause before he says: ] You really don't get embarrassed saying all that... [ it's also an easy method for him to dissolve her comment of being "really happy." ]
Sure, now show me your best stance. [ he also seems ready, basically carrying nothing on him. ]
